Ribbon Cutting and Public Tours Set for Butte General Office on May 21

NorthWestern Energy has announced that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and provide public tours of its new Butte General Office at 11 E. Park St. on Saturday, May 21.

The ribbon-cutting will take place at 10 a.m. and will feature Bob Rowe, NorthWestern’s CEO, and other members of the executive team. They will be joined by Matt Vincent, the Butte-Silver Bow chief executive, members and officials from the Butte Chamber of Commerce, the Butte Local Development Corp., and Mainstreet Uptown Butte. Leaders from Mosaic Architecture, which led the design of the building, and Dick Anderson Construction, the general contractor, will also take part in the event.

Public tours of portions of the building will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon on May 21. Under normal circumstances, much of the nearly 94,000-square-foot building is not open to the public. The Butte General Office is home to about 220 employees, most of whom worked in the former General Office building at 40 E. Broadway. The building has been in use since early in 2016.

The ribbon cutting and tours are being held in conjunction with the first Farmer’s Market of the season in Uptown Butte.
