Butte’s students are “connected”! The Butte School District, in a public/private partnership with MERDI and FatBeam, built a brand new 2 gigabit fiber network deploying the fastest, most reliable and most adaptable connectivity to all Butte School District students—the only such network in the State. In fact, this connectivity rivals Google Fiber’s much published 1Gigabit offering in only a few US cities.
The Butte School District is committed to provide each of our students with a comprehensive educational experience in preparation for current academic challenges and future educational and occupational endeavors. Through a belief in high expectations in a culture of respect, Butte’s highly qualified teachers, administrators, support staff and caring School Board members continually look for ways to improve programs and services, to provide excellence in education.
Butte High School has a record of academic excellence and students receiver well over one million dollars in scholarships annually. Butte School District #1 also partners with Montana Tech of the University of Montana and Highlands College to prepare students for careers in STEM disciplines.
