The BLDC Board of Directors’ decision comes with the fullest confidence that Willauer will continue to be an excellent steward of the BLDC’s mission and a passionate leader for the Butte community.

In 2007, a small group of locals developed a unique mountain-bike race covering the beautiful natural landscape surrounding Butte, Montana. The Butte 100 has seen substantial growth in the course of its 10-year history, and the race has been recognized in nationwide publications as, “an ultimate test of mountain biking physical and mental aptitudes.” The Butte 100 is proud to be contributing to the growing awareness of Butte, Montana as a world-class recreation city.
Started by grizzly attack survivor Mark Matheny in 1994, UDAP Industries, Inc. is now headquartered in Butte, Montana and manufactures, markets and distributes a variety of bear protection and personal defense products including bear sprays, bear electric fences, bear resistant canisters, personal pepper sprays, stun guns, and accessories.
