Butte and Montana provide business leaders easy access to capital. Whether a business needs venture capital, experienced commercial lenders, or access to federal and state programs, we have full access to capital resources.

Butte Local Development Corporation Loan Program
The Butte Local Development Corporation owns and operates its own Revolving Loan Fund which is an excellent financing option available for Butte businesses.  The purpose of the BLDC’s loan program is encourage and accelerate quality job creation, retention and recruitment of businesses to Butte Silver Bow.  Our financing is used primarily as GAP financing in participation with your financial institution.  For more information about this program, visit our Access to Capital page in the About Us section of this website.

Tax Increment Financing Industrial District
Montana law enables local governments to use tax revenue in designated districts (Tax Increment Financing Districts, or TIFs) for development and redevelopment activities and to pay for public infrastructure needs of projects. The Butte Tax Increment Financing Industrial District (TIFID) focuses on the Montana Connections Business Development Park, providing financial support to help with adding capacity, building facilities, and site development. Funds are available to help qualified candidates. Urban Renewal District Financing
The Urban Revitalization Agency (URA) is a tax increment district designed to promote the redevelopment and stimulation of investment within the central business district. The URA is funded by tax increment financing and makes loans and grants for private buildings in the uptown area, and invests in other public and private improvements.  For information about this program please click to visit www.co.silverbow.mt.us

Montana Board of Investments Loan Program.
The Butte Local Development Corporation works closely with our State partner at the Montana Board of Investments to assist businesses access capital.  The Montana Board of Investment’s In-state Loan Program offers Montana businesses attractive financing programs. Venture capitalists can provide the funding needed to jump-start a business.
