With the assistance of the Butte Local Development Corporation, Montana Precision Products, LLC has been awarded $210,800.00 from the Montana Department of Commerce’s Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund Program. This funding was granted to assist Montana Precision Products in the purchasing of equipment and wage reimbursement enabling the creation of 31 new jobs within the next year.

The Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund Program provides state funds to promote long-term stable economic growth in Montana with financial assistance in the categories of economic development job creation projects and planning projects. Job Creation funding is awarded to create good paying jobs for residents in basic sector businesses, in the form of grants or loans. Planning Projects funding is awarded to Certified Regional Development Corporations (CRDCs), tribal or local governments, or other economic development organizations not part of a CRDC region, to support economic development planning activities. Detailed information on the Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund Program can be found here.

According to Governor Steve Bullock, “My administration’s Main Street Montana business plan is built on the idea that public-private partnerships are keys to growing Montana’s economy. Every project funded through BSTF is a step toward the plan’s goals of creating opportunities for today’s workforce and being stronger and more competitive for our next generation of entrepreneurs.”
