Nashville, TN – September 7, 2023 – The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Southwest Montana is proud to announce that Courtney Loeffler, Regional Director, and Logann Lovshin, Business Advisor, were invited to present about the Success of Headwaters SBDC’s 2022 Small Business Saturday Event at the National SBDC Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 7, 2023.

The National SBDC Conference is an annual gathering that brings together SBDC professionals, business leaders, and policymakers from across the United States to share best practices, innovations, and success stories in supporting small businesses. This year, Courtney Loeffler and Logann Lovshin showcased the community of Butte and the success of the Small Business Saturday Event that hosted over 60+ businesses in Butte.

The Small Business Saturday Event, organized by the SBDC of Southwest Montana, has become a shining example of community engagement and small business support. This initiative was designed to promote local businesses, boost the regional economy, and foster a sense of unity within the community.

On Small Businesses Saturday participants can pick up a Shop Small Card at a participating business and can then receive a signature from a participating business (no purchase necessary) on their card. Each signature is good for one ticket for our prize drawing. Participants can then attend our Shop Small Event on November 25 at 3pm at the Butte Elks Lodge No. 240 for a chance to win one of several prize baskets (comprised of donations from participating businesses). Tickets are drawn at random and participants must be present to win.

Courtney Loeffler expressed her excitement about the presentation, stating, “We were honored to be invited to share our Small Business Saturday success story with the SBDC community at the national level. We really care about small businesses in Butte and this event gives our small businesses a chance to shine.”

Logann Lovshin added, “Our experience with the Small Business Saturday Event has shown us the incredible impact that collaboration and community support can have on small businesses. We hope to inspire others to take similar initiatives in their regions.”
